This is not your ordinary gathering of bodies; We’re taking the party out of our sacred home ground and giving the infamous warehouse at Keppel Road an overhaul for YokoO’s Singapore debut.
With YokoO behind the decks, we’re setting out on a musical journey that will envelop you in a warm embrace, with thumping basslines to move your feet and warm melodies to speak to your heart.
No stranger to house music in all its deepest forms, All Day I Dreamregular YokoO is a studio head in the true sense of the word. Spending much of his time pondering basslines and warm synth riffs that heat up dancefloors the world over, he has seen releases on renowned imprints such as All Day I Dream, Musik Gewinnt Freunde, Kindisch, Get Physical, Moodmusic and Plastic City.
His musical intuition drives his production and his full groove based approach to seductive house music turns heads of many a label boss from Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Matthew Dekay and Lee Burridge no less.
As a DJ, YokoO embraces the dancefloor with a dynamic and honest approach. His genuine love for the music shines through and naturally feeds the energy of the audience, fuelling the dance frenzy on the floor. This unique connection he establishes with a crowd has allowed him to mark out a spot for himself in the global house music scene with talent being sought after from every corner of the world.
Setting the tone for the night is Frankfurt producer and DJ Rey & Kjavikwith his hypnotic grooves paired with ethnic rhythms, charting you on a mystical musical journey.
Inspired by his travels, coupled with the awakening experience of playing at The Kazbah, Burning Man 2016, Rey & Kjavik released his debut Long Player album last year; A collection of tracks that span the realms of house, progressive and tech, with middle-eastern mysticism weaved into thumping percussion beats and down-tempo basslines to create a uniquely emotive sound.
The night is set up to be an intimate and engaging journey that will settle in your memory and hold fast in your heart, as YokoO and Rey & Kjaviktransport you into a dreamlike world filled with love, music for the soul, smiles, laughter and all-around beautiful vibes.
