We’ve just welcomed this Irish-native to The Council’s growing roster of resident DJs back in June, and now it's time to give Shane O’Neill a proper introduction.

With over two decades of playtime under his belt, Shane has taken the time to hone a distinctive sound that’s very much his own. As house music reigns supreme this month with the likes of Luca Lozano, Christopher Rau, Jasper James and many more making their Singapore debut at The Council, we’ve roped in one of our favourite house selectors, Daryl C, to lay down a good groove for us ahead of the mayhem.

As the cold fades away like the distant memory of the ice factory rave, it seems only fitting that we bring the focus back to our first resident, Julien Brochard. He’s the one who’s been there with us since the early days of our rogue operative, starting off with street-side parties and pop-up raves in hidden locations.

It’s been a pleasure watching our #TechnoWonderBoy grow from strength to strength in the past 2 years, as he immersed himself in the deeper, darker shades of techno to deliver full-throttle sets that convey a measured aggression. Having shared the stage with some of techno’s heavyweights – the likes of Rebekah, Amelie Lens, Nastia, KiNK, Barker & Baumecker & many more – it all cements his reputation as one of The Council’s finest.

You can always count on Julien Brochard to craft a deep, moody churn before he unleashes the rhythmic assaults. As we continue to grow, it brings us great joy to announce the latest addition to our roster of talents. DEEN may be a familiar face to many, starting first as a punter on the dance floor, before finding his way behind the decks to soundtrack many a hazy night at Headquarters and other events. A regular mainstay on the club’s programming, it was right in the cage at 66 Boat Quay where DEEN developed his brooding style of techno that is darkly affecting and strangely light all at once.

It wasn’t long before DEEN was sharing the stage with some of dance music’s brightest stars of the moment, including the likes of Charlotte de Witte, Reka, and Brassica to name just a few. If you’ve shared a night with the man himself, you’ll see how he can work the crowd into a hypnotic stomp with his sombre tones and introspective melodies, often taking the audience through a dizzying barrage of peaks and troughs, of tension and relief.
